Third Round: PGA Championship
The family of Charles Howell III must be very happy today. They got to see the replay of his Ace many times, as they should have. It's about time the tv people show something other than Tiger Woods. Davis Love III is having a very good tournament so far. He has moved into a tie for the lead and will be in the final group with Phil Mickelson tomorrow. I hope both of them turn in good rounds tomorrow. I do hate it when the leaders fall back and let Tiger get back into the tournament. Thomas Bjorn shot a 63 today which ties the record for low round in any major. Good for him. That's one record Tiger hasn't claimed yet. John Daly putted much of the day with his sand wedge. Apparently his putter wasn't working for him today. The coolest thing was Peter Kostis' swingvision camera and the shot of the ball coming out of the rough with all the grass wrapped around it. It was slow motion and probably something the average player really never gets a chance to see.
