Another young player who just turned pro is Jeff Overton. I don't think he had a good round yesterday, but hopefully he will turn things around.

( Air Date: 8/20/2005 ) Evansville golfer Jeff Overton announced on Saturday that he`s turning pro.
The North High School and IU grad will play in the Buick Championship at TPC at River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut this upcoming week.
The tournament used to be called the Greater Hartford Open. Overton got a sponsor`s exemption into the tourney.
Overton recently led the United States to the Walker Cup title in Chicago last weekend. He says he couldn`t have picked a better way to end his amateur career.
Overton`s amateur resume also includes back to back State Amateurs and a top four finish is the U.S. Amateur. He was also named the Big Ten Player of the Year twice and was a first-team All Big Ten player.
