New "Spotlight On" Player
I have finally decided on a player to spotlight in the upcoming year. Rory McIlroy. He's been playing steady for the last couple of years, and has just qualified for the Masters with his T3 at the South African Open. You can check out his website by clicking on his name over in the sidebar. Here's hoping he finally comes through with a win this year. He's been close too many times and needs to take that next step into the winner's circle.

That is some player that you have picked! Rory Mcilroy has been in the spotlight of golfing experts for a while and now his talent is beginning to yield good results. He is finishing high up on the leaderboards consistently in some of the big ticket events and his career continues top grow, at an alarming rate, enough to be a cause of concern for the big names on the European Tour.
In his last four events he has managed a top-five finish in three of the tournaments. There was a small blip in the middle as he surprisingly missed the cut at the Alfred Dunhill Championship. In fact, seven top ten finishes in the last ten tournaments does absolutely no harm to his growing fame.
The biggest plus point on his side is his age. At such a young age he has taken rapid strides and he can easily be counted in the bracket of the very best in the world within a couple of years and that would be quite an achievement at such a young age. Of course we don’t want to jinx him as the next Tiger but one would struggle not to like this little kid who is taking giant steps in the world of golf.
