It seems like every tournament this year, either on the US tour or the European Tour has had a first round leader who's shot a really, really low round. While it's great to see those players doing well, it does depress me to see that because that means the rest of the players have just that much more to overcome if they expect to challenge and win. And you can't even rely on the usual theory that a low round is followed the next day by a high round. I would rather see a tightly bunched leaderboard after the first day.
